This year, there have been new UKG teachers, but the system lacks the care and attention to students that made last year's experience so positive. Disturbingly, there are reports of teachers resorting to physical punishment and harsh disciplinary measures against 5-year-old children, which is absolutely unacceptable. Moreover, these teachers don't communicate effectively with parents; instead, they make disapproving facial expressions when concerns are raised. When we enrolled our children here, we envisioned them completing their entire school journey up to 10th grade, but based on my current experience, I cannot recommend this school to others. The deteriorating situation is disheartening, and I wouldn't want your children to encounter the same issues we are facing now.

The teachers and Principals are easily approachable and the management provides state of the art infrastructure to keep pace with the changing trends in education.

I first heard about this school back in 2017 and was impressed with the principle Lats Mrs. Nalini and even though I felt the school was cramped for room with no playground. It is basically a single p... It is basically a single plot turned into a school. Once we took admission we got to know that there is segregation of school. Shinning Starts is for Nursery and Pre-KG. A separate principle for ICSE (1st to 10th), a separate principle for CBSE and one for SSLC.

Shinning stars is amazing as they focus on grooming the kids to learn and scale up and manage the extra workloads of ICSE and CBSE.

However, post the pandemic and lockdown, the school's quality has gone down. It has turned into a cesspool of communalism and there is not much the principle (new) and school has made towards addressing it. I don't completely blame them but they have not taken it seriously enough. Also, the quality of education has dipped. The good teachers were let go and the teachers they backfilled are either incompetent or inexperienced.

This school is not the best one in Jayanagar and there are far better ones. I have moved my kids after giving them enough time to clean up but they decided to continue being content with mediocracy

For example the floor of the assembly hall is completely broken and cracked you can remove its tiles completely. And some classes have chipped of tables and broken table holders. Sometimes there are broken light and usually don't get fixed for a long time."that concludes my point of the infrastructure now the next part is the management.I unfortunately cannot go into much detail about it but as for how much I can say. It's Bad.The management doesn't really care about the problems and just tried to solve by using harsh punishments like no sports(however personally we had it worse we didn't have sports for two months)and etc. I have one final point which will conclude this review the activities I don't really have much to say because our activities were just a way to get closer with all of our friends so it didn't really matter so this concludes my review

I) The teaching is somewhat good at least in ICSE, most of the teachers teach in a good way but there are a few teachers who have horrific ways of teaching.

Cons:
I) The students over here misbehave a lot and barely few of them speak in English even though we study in the highest wing of the school (ICSE). They Usually Speak in Hindi or sometimes Kannada, the Teachers are not giving enough priority to this matter

II) the infrastructure and campus is quite bad. For example the floor of the assembly hall is completely broken and cracked you can remove its tiles completely. And some classes have chipped of tables and broken table holders. Sometimes there are broken light and usually don't get fixed for a long time.

III) Outdated: Some of the smart projectors barely work and some of them run windows 7 when the textbook use windows 10. The keyboard and mouses are completely broken in some classes.

IV) Horrific management: they are many examples of this situation for example it took me 3 weeks to apply for a TC and I had to go to the school like 5 times just for a TC. Every time they used to give a excuse like principal is not available and to come in a specific date but if we come that day she would still not be there.

V) Way Way too much writing work at home: The Teacher usually from grade 6 onwards just give a lot of CW to write at home. They mark the notes in the textbook and ask us to write at home sometimes they give it like a week before exam. We will barely get any time to study for our exams. On top of that sometimes the potions is completed on the exam week

VI) There are facilities such as a swimming pool, Keyboard, Guitar and Tabla classes. But they barely teach us anything in these classes such as in swimming class they just let us use the pool and barely care about us.

VII) The School buses are all messed up, they charge 32k per person not to even come to our house. it just takes the driver 1 extra minute to drop me at my house but instead they drop me like 200M from my house and even worse is that there are 3 people who benefit the driver coming in that route.

VIII) The Annual Day/Sports Day events are barley organized properly: The venue is usually all dirty and sometimes there is a shortage of seats. The Dance's are also quite bad.

IX) Very Bad And Unhygienic Toilets. Sometimes there are broken tubes in the boys toilet and water starts to flood the floor.

Also some of these positive comments are by teachers/management themselves as I can verify by their name.

Due to poor teaching skills of th... As a parent of class 5 student my experience of this school is nothing special to share. Quality of teaching has been woeful and miserabaly inadequate for this year. Due to poor teaching skills of the present maths and English teachers, most of the kids have failed to understand basic mathematical skills and English communication and basic grammar. I am sure I feel these kids will find going tough in the coming years. I don't recommend this school to parents who are aspiring to join their kids to this school.

My son who is in class 5 has started hating maths subject, as he can hardly understand basic concepts of the subject. Last he had a poor maths teacher, but this year it is worst. A teacher by name Chithralekha, who is not good enough to teach class 1 students is the teacher. If the management is seeing this I request them to appoint experienced quality maths teachers . Otherwise kids have to suffer not only in that year ,but find hard to adjust in coping with the subject in coming years. Hope management will look into this .

The management has generously spent money on the modern building, state of the art infrastructure, well equiped class rooms, auditoriums, swimming pools etc. The school offers all three syllabi i.e State, ICSE & CBSE.
The management and the respective principles seem to be committed to make the institution as one among the best schools. A wide range of activities in the school aim at overall development of the child. Regular feild visits and picnics too arranged. The quality of the teachers don't seem to be up to the mark. This area gives lot of scope for the school management to ameliorate. Other issues are insignificant and seen across the schools.
The fee is quite reasonable and worth for the value.

The academic focus does not limit the extra-curricular activities offered: opportunities in dance, music and sports abound. Dance is my favorite and I have benefited greatly from our dance faculty led by a teacher who has boundless enthusiasm for her subject.

- they only loot money,

- they spoiled my life by wasting 3 years of mine, teachers have no knowledge they only come for salary,

- believe me or not there had a mushroom grow on one of the desk,

- the toilet are worst than the government toilet all broken,

- teaching can be given negative rating and they blame us during ptm,

- the children are shown partiallity and beaten up by shoes and all for useless reasons I have experienced this happening to my friend,

- the pt teachers are just you can say dons of the school,

- I was one of the topper of the school as I managed some how but my friends due to worst teaching got very low marks,

- they could not put the toppers of the school properly and the third day they'd put the toppers photo outside the school already it was flying to air,

- they only say us to complete the useless notes that is just waste of time because they only don't know what has to be made written by us,

- they had to refund my 500 to 750 rupees as they had not given me my one of the Wednesday school pant still from when I was in nineth standard till now after 2and half years also they are speaking to the chairman about the refund and still not refunded my money,

- they say they provide smart classes but the cpu and other computer peripheral are of Chinese and not working at all

- they could not even call and give a sweet for giving a good marks to the school,

- the chairman office is like 7star room but our classes are having broken bench, mushroom growing bench, etc

-They open labs and other things only during the time of photography for advertising,

- they had made the state lab room as a store room,

- the had made useless school leaders, the head boy was fearing to speak in Mic, the had made the leaders according to the partiality made by the pt teacher,

- this is my experience in this school if you still want to waste lakhs of money to you kids go for it or else see other 5 star review and join your kids there and waste your money

Concerns about kids safety for junior school going kids - We are parents to class 1 child who faced absolutely bullying behavior from the school - Bangalore International Academy school (CBSE Section), Jayanagar, Bangalore - which blatantly disregards all the rules regarding children's safety. When we confronted them, they asked us to withdraw our child, with absolutely no refund, pocketing Rs.1.15 lakh in all !
The school management is actually waiting for an incident to happen, they refused to give appointment with the Principal, the Public Relations officer was absolutely rude, even the School Director was so full of himself, that he actually said "WE'LL SEE WHEN THAT HAPPENS !"
Our written letter did not get any response, where we had raised the following:
1. No escort(male/female) for kids in Transport Vehicles; only driver/cleaner.
2. Overcrowding of children in Transport.
3. No escort for kids to the bus(which is on the main road).
4. Extremely unhygienic toilets.
5. Insufficient female swimming staff for girl children.
6. Mistreated(beat) the child after we made the written complaint.

Most parents keep quiet for the fear of raising these issues to avoid kids being mistreated. The standard answer of the school management is - we have trained driver/cleaners; nothing has happened so far, when it happens we will see; only your the parents who appear troubled and no one else complaints...

When asked that the school brochure has listed out all these as the facilities provided, the response was "WE HAVE TO WRITE THIS STUFF TO GET PARENTS LIKE YOU TO ADMIT THEIR KIDS !"

Can something be done about these businesses in the garb of educational institutions? Do we wait another day, when another incident happens? Till when parents like us be taken like a ride by fake brochures & swindling our money without providing for our kids safety?

When I joined BIA, I was clueless about my life. The faculty, Principal Ma'am and the Management was very supportive and guided me well for my future. I got a chance to participate in International Projects with the students of Partner Schools abroad. That was amazing experience where I got a chance to explore my other qualities rather then academics. The beauty of the school is that they give equal weight-age to all the the three wings whether CBSE, STATE or ICSE. That was the reason that both CBSE and STATE wing got International School Award from the British Council. I always feel happy to see the growth of the School. Recently when I visited the school to meet Principal Ma'am and the Management. I got to know that this year students did extremely well in Olympiad Examination, and received 108 Medals. 4 Students got International Gold Medal and secured 1st Rank internationally. This itself shows the quality of education of the school. No other words are required. For me admission in this school was Turning Point of my Life. I am glad that I studied in BIA. Thanks for your guidance and support you have extended to me. Recently you had Golden Jubilee Year celebration. I wish you many more success in the coming years ahead in the leadership of Muniraju Sir and Dr. Ebenezer Sir.
