With the individual attention to every kid, activity based learning and imbibing Indian values by highly trained and dedicated educators, we nurture the young minds with moral values and transform them to be an able citizen, so that they can take up the Indian and global challenges. 1. Gamification in Learning and teaching- Gamification in Learning – Our classroom pedagogy is designed with gamification elements such as scoreboards, rewards, constraints, levels, and challenges. This approach makes learning more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable for students as well as it helps the teachers to attain the desired Learning outcomes more effectively. 2. STEAM Education- In collaboration with the London-based company CyberSquare , we have introduced Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and IoT into our curriculum. Our students are skilled enough to design websites, games, animations, IoT solutions, and Robotics projects. We also encourage them to participate in national and international digital fests, with the school sponsoring four students per academic year for international events, while participation in national events is open without limits. 3. Collaborative Learning- Collaborative Learning is an integral part of our pedagogy, where students are grouped either homogeneously or heterogeneously based on the need. This approach fosters peer learning, peer support, teamwork, and a strong sense of team spirit among students. 4. Self- Directed Learning- Self-Directed Learning is at the core of our pedagogy, where students embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth. Through SWOT analysis, they set goals and strategies to achieve them. From grade 1, we assign task responsibilities to ensure smooth transition in instructional design like attention grabber instructor, word wall monitor, brain button mentor etc., cultivating confidence, responsibility and team work. It enables students to access their strength (What I can?, etc.,) and areas for growth (What I need to work on) with mentorship support. 5. Behaviors Management Chart- We follow a six-level behaviour chart, ranging from the lowest to the best level. Teachers monitor students’ behaviour based on defined rubrics, providing reward for progress (positive behaviour) and targeted counselling to support the disruptive behavior. 6. Host interschool volleyball, Skating and throw ball- We are hosting an annual interschool sports -VPS Smash League, featuring Volleyball for boys and Throw ball for girls. In addition to that we also host an annual skating competition that is open for all. The objective of this league is to provide students with a platform to showcase their sporting skills, foster team spirit, and encourage self-evaluation. 7. VPS IGNITE MINDS- VPS Ignite Minds: Under this initiative, students take complete responsibility for planning, designing, and organizing public campaigns, competitions, and challenges. They have successfully conducted more than five apartment campaigns, public awareness programs on occasions such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Yoga Day, as well as a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Cytecare Hospital. The primary objective of this program is to nurture and develop leadership skills among our students. 8. Reading challenges - To foster reading habits, students record the number of pages they read each month. At the end of the month, we compile the cumulative total for each class and announce winners across three clusters: Cluster 1 (Grades 1 & 2), Cluster 2 (Grades 3–5), and Cluster 3 (Grades 6–8). The winning class is rewarded with a class party. In addition, we organize two Book Review Competitions each year. For these, 10 books are shortlisted per cluster, and students present reviews based on the selected titles. 9. Journal Writing - This is a 15-minute activity where students engage in writing task across 5 different activities (One for each day), such as WhatIf scenarios, story building, sentences and more. The activities are designed which caters to the different levels of the student, encourage creativity, language development and critical thinking. 10. Mathmania - As per grade level, we organize a Maths Calculation Rally , where students are challenged to solve problems within a minute. The student who solves the highest number of problems is declared the winner. Though it is a short five-minute activity, it greatly enhances students’ calculation speed, mental estimation, confidence, and nurtures their love for problem-solving. 11. NOVUS- It is a learning carnival where students design their own games based on concepts they have studied, such as Rational Numbers or the Circulatory System. The public is invited to play these games, experiencing how learning can happen in fun and creative ways. Through this process, students develop essential 6Cs: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Character, and Citizenship. 12. Monthly Legends- We conduct a Monthly Legends activity, where students research and learn about eminent personalities. They explore their achievements, the challenges they faced, how they overcame obstacles, and the ways they handled criticism, drawing valuable life lessons from their journeys. 13. Art integration in learning – Apart from games, we also integrate art in learning process, where students present their learned concepts through creative forms such as drawings, graphical organizers, animations, cartoons, songs, dramas, dance, music and role plays. This multidisciplinary approach makes learning more engaging while fostering creativity and expression. 14. Authentic Assessment - Our assessment approach is skill-based, as we believe that a student’s true ability cannot be measured by pen-and-paper tests alone. Instead, we assess students through multiple formats such as presentations, art forms, and other performance-based tasks, ensuring a fair and holistic evaluation of their strengths and talents. 15. Parent Connect- We warmly invite parents to be an integral part of the learning journey, where the parents s hare their knowledge and experiences with student, Guide and train them based on their area of expertise and also they witness first-hand how students are learning, engaging, and performing in class. 16. Mindfulness and wellness dance: Along with the morning prayer, we begin our classes with either mindfulness activities or a wellness dance. 17. Public Speaking- As the communication is one of the important skillsets of 21st Century, we nurture public speaking skills by conducting various activities like Show and Tell, Group discussion, Debate and TED-Talks. 18. Unique Curriculum- Our school curriculum is designed on the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework, where learning objectives are structured around three key dimensions: skills, concepts, and values. This approach ensures holistic development across all subjects. Even in Physical Education, we follow a well-structured curriculum aimed at enhancing students’ physical fitness, mental well-being, language development, and character building.
